The Forbes advisor has attempted to rank European golf destinations based on new and less recent criteria:
- number and quality of courses,
- value of money
- green fees,
- world-class courses,
- and annual sunshine and precipitation.
Forbes advisor claims that both amateur players and industry experts played a significant role in the rankings, as did the affordability of green fees compared to experience.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how much weigh different indicators are provided in the assessment. I also missed the non-golf related amenities AND family-friendly factors from the list of criteria.
The Forbes adviser relied on the findings and statistics on Leadingcourses.com AND Top100golf courses.com. They added annual sunlight AND annual precipitation statistics too.
It’s just a minor thing that the Forbes Adviser spells Faro instead of Algarve. Name Algarve means more to golf tourists. I would like to use the same Costa Brava, Costa del Sol instead of Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, etc.
If we talk about value for money, then where is it Cyprus Or Bulgaria from this list? I can recommend 2 right now Cyprus golf resorts:
- mints,
- Aphrodite Hills Golf – PGA National Cyprus
If I were a golf venue/resort I would be….
While review sites are great places to discover new golf vacation destinations or simply find new insights, cooperation with influencers is inevitable.
Change says that influencers can influence travelers while traveling early decision-making process. I expect it TikTok and Instagram Reels will play a much bigger role in golf tourism marketing and golf destination discovery as our attention span continues to shrink.
ABOUT TikTok influenced 34% of travelers in 2022, an increase of 10 percentage points from 2021, according to a Portrait of American Travelers.
What else would be good to understand is this nano (1,000-10,000 followers) and micro-influencers (10,000-100,000) can really help us achieve our business goals. The reason for this is the level of engagement of their readers and followers.
Some companies offer percentage of sales or a lump sum Down influencers in return for cooperation.
