(CARLSBAD, CA) – Vokey WedgeWorks introduces the new Limited 58.10° and 60.10° V Grind, inspired by the collaboration between master craftsman Bob Vokey and Vokey Tour representative Aaron Dill with players around the world.
The V Grind is for players looking for a wedge that provides increased bounce on square face shots and increased relief on open face shots. At full impact, the V Grind features a high forward rebound on the sole. However, when the V Grind surface is open, the gusset offers greater versatility by taking pressure off the heel, toe and trailing edge, keeping the leading edge closer to the ground.
“This wedge is ideal for golfers who play in normal to soft soil conditions, as well as courses where bunkers have more sand,” said Vokey. “It’s also perfect for players with neutral or steeper angles of attack who still like to open their face when hitting around the green.”
The WedgeWorks V Grind is visually similar to the SM9 T Grind due to the narrower forefoot – towards the leading edge – and the aggressive relief of the heel, toe and trailing edge. However, V Grind plays with a higher effective bounce than T Grind. It is also more suitable for players who have a neutral or steep angle of attack around the green and with fuller swings, while the grind T is for players with a shallower shot.
