(RELEASE) – How would the most famous players in the history of golf dress if they climbed the ropes today? The answer is the Todd Snyder x FootJoy collection. The collection, titled “The Back Tees”, was inspired by the golf fashions of the old masters on and off the course. The styles borrow from traditional American menswear codes and infuse them into technical high-performance fabrics.
For this collaboration, Todd and the FootJoy team set out to create contemporary interpretations of 1960s and 1970s golf styles. The team placed an emphasis on sophisticated fabrics – including piqué polos, mercerized sweaters and cotton/cashmere sweatshirts – and then reinterpreted these iconic sports styles in a completely modern way. The collection includes apparel in black, blue, olive, geometric and jacquard prints, and two new premium full-grain leather golf shoes based on FootJoy’s Wilcox and Field Premiere Series models.
