And the reasons for the death of the Rock icon have already been revealed by her representative, who spoke to the Daily Mail, in statements taken by Page Six.
What did Tina Turner die of?
May 24, Turner died of natural causes at her home near Zurich, Switzerland, her representative said.
Page Six mentions that her manager announced it earlier Tina he struggled with a “long illness”, although he did not give more details about it.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr Tina Turner. With her music and boundless passion for life, she won the hearts of millions of fans around the world and inspired future stars. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who left us all his greatest work: his music. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family. Tinawe will miss you so much,” reads the message that announced the singer’s death.
Tina Turner’s battle with kidney disease
Page Six notes that two months before her death, the “What’s Love Got to Do with It” artist opened up about her battle with kidney disease.
“My kidneys are victims of the unawareness (sic) that my high blood pressure should be treated with conventional medicine,” she wrote on Instagram on March 9, when International Kidney Day was celebrated.
“I have put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I need daily, lifelong drug therapy. For too long I believed my body was an untouchable, indestructible bulwark.
