The way Tottenham Hotspur’s season has gone, you’d be forgiven for thinking that no one in their right mind would want to join a north London team.
Serial winners like Antonio Conte basically giving up after seemingly not getting the required commitment from his players, Daniel Levy slacking off when it comes to replacements, Fabio Paratici having to resign from his position after being suspended for financial irregularities while at Juventus… that is, they were one thing after another at White Hart Lane in the 2022/23 season.
However, things could change for the better soon, with Spurs leading the race to sign one highly rated star.
At the moment, goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will leave the club at the end of the season after years of illustrious service.
Apparently, the custodian needs to be changed, as journalist Rudy Galetti said Give me sportsTottenham are leading the race for a new goalkeeper in David Ray from Brentford.
“At the moment we can say that Spurs are leading the race for the Spanish goalkeeper” Galetti said.
“He is considered one of the main targets to replace Lloris, who, unless there is a sensational twist, will say goodbye in June.
“Regarding the coaching situation, concrete changes will only take place after the election of a new director.”
How say SPORT previously mentioned, Thomas Frank, speaking after his side won at White Hart Lane, puts his No. 1 at £40m, which for a top-flight goalkeeper these days is a bargain.
Especially one who is only 27 years old and has a few more years at the top, if injuries allow.
If Daniel Levy manages to pull this off, it may at least give some reassurance to fans who have long been paying the club their hard-earned week after week.
