MORE IN THE FUTURE
I feel we are moving in the right direction, but there is still a long way to go. We are not where we want to be, where this club belongs. But we are on the right track and we need to continue this, with higher standards. Good is not enough, we must be better. There is potential in this team and in individual players and we have shown during the season that we have made progress. It’s a compliment for the players, but also for the coaches – we really work hard. You have to make investments, have a good strategy, work hard and you will be rewarded for it.
WE NEED TO INVEST
“The club knows that if you want to leave, if you want to play in the top four, if you want to fight for trophies in this difficult league then you have to invest, otherwise you have no chance because other clubs will do it.” We saw in the winter that all the clubs around us made huge investments. We didn’t do it, and yet we made it, so I’m really happy and proud of my team.
WE CAN BEAT THE CITY
I think in football you always have a chance. History shows we beat them in January. Man United have beaten City many times over the last few years. These players know that when they play at their level, they can compete. It is obvious. we are playing the best team at the moment, but there is still a chance and we have to take it. We have to give our best and after the game we cannot have excuses for ourselves.
