The The 2023 ITA Tennis-Point summer track powered by WTN it’s officially here! Registration is now open for the eleven host sites that will host tournaments in the first week of the 2023 Summer Circuit.
Built for incoming freshman-athletes and current collegiate players, the Summer Circuit allows players to experience high-level tournament competition during the summer months. As one of the few NCAA-compliant national tournament series offered, the Summer Circuit has kept student athletes at the top of their game for many years.
In the first week of competition, tournaments will be held in eleven states at a number of prominent colleges and universities including; Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, Wake Forest, Louisiana and Tyler JC to name a few.
With seven or more tournaments scheduled per week, players can choose to play one or all seven weeks, with all results uploaded directly to the WTN platform so their progress over the summer can be directly tracked by their school’s coaches.
In addition, the Summer Circuit events also serve as qualifiers for ITA Tennis-Point National Summer Championships, showcasing 64 of the best collegiate players from across the country. This qualifying process is based on the total points earned during the Summer Circuit Points Race, which awards points to entrants based on the completion of each Summer Circuit tournament.
Returning NCAA Division I players who win the singles and doubles tournaments at the Summer Championships will receive a wild card into the main draw of the ITA Men’s & Women’s All-American Championships. Additionally, returning NCAA Division I players who are finalists for the Summer Championship will receive a wild card into the qualifying round of the All-American Championship.
The Summer Circuit is one of the oldest and most successful events on the ITA calendar for high-level college and junior athletes. The circuit has grown from 35 to 55 tournaments in the last few years, doubling to over 5,000 players.
