Red Bull‘S Max Verstappen secured pole position for Sunday Monaco Grand Prix in an exciting qualifying session in Monte Carlo.
In Q1, Red Bull watched helplessly as Sergio Perez – Verstappen’s closest rival in the title race – crashed, leaving the Mexican behind.
At one stage of Q3, Verstappen appeared to miss the advantage and dropped to fourth place before his last lap.
Verstappen lost two tenths of a second in the final sector but somehow made up the margin when closing corners to overtake Aston Martin‘S Fernando Alonso by 0.084 seconds.

Charles Leclercin his home race, he had to settle for third place Ferrarione sec Alpine‘S Esteban Ocon was a sensational fourth fastest, surpassing some star names.
Ferrari Carlos Sainz Jr. was fifth, slightly faster than Lewis Hamilton In Mercedes with a teammate George Russell behind Alpin Pierre Gasly in the eighth.
Yuki Tsunoda AND Lando Norris – in AlphaTauri and McLaren respectively – rounded out the top ten.
