Devin Haney was declared the winner over Vasyl Lomachenko Saturday night at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nv.
The scores are 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113.
In Maxboxing, Lomachenko won the fight 115-113.
In the first round, the bigger Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) landed some punches. The stick is his best friend. Lomachenko jumped and weaved. Haney was working on the body. Southpaw Lomachenko fired some left shots and went into a tantrum at the end of the stanza.
Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) moved to the left side and made a feint in the second round. Haney shot right. Looped left landed. Haney hit straight to the body. Lomachenko defended himself. He scored with the lead on the left. The intense chess match continued in the third round. Lomachenko stabbed and faked a shot to the body. Haney ate two hard tricks. Lomachenko bounced and threw. He missed a few punches, but also scored.
In the fourth round, Haney, 24, jabbed. Lomachenko returned the favor. Haney approached the body again. Lomachenko fired a combination. He pressed forward. Lomachenko scored with a straight right hand. He was extremely sharp. Haney shot a body shot in round five. Lomachenko hit Haney with a straight left – and seconds later Lomachenko landed more punches. The jab also landed. Haney landed a shot in the ribs.
Haney landed three punches to the body in round six. Lomachenko spun around and fired with his left hand. Haney landed right and Lomachenko landed hard left. Haney ripped the counter. Lomachenko was working and coming out in round seven. He landed hard with a left which surprised Haney. Lomachenko worked on the body. Haney landed with a stiff right hand. A minute later, a check hook caught Lomachenko.
In the eighth round, Lomachenko hit Haney with the right side. Lomachenko made a combination. Haney landed, as did Lomachenko. Haney landed right into the body. Lomachenko scored the right goal.
Lomachenko fired a combination in the ninth round. Haney check the hook. Lomachenko scored a quick left. Everything with these two guys was fast. Lomachenko pushed Haney into the ropes and worked. Both fighters landed.
In round 10, Lomachenko jabbed. Haney went down but was on the left and right ends. Lomachenko’s angles caused problems. Lomachenko shot a big left in round 11. Haney looked hurt. Lomachenko opened up. Haney struggled, but the much older Lomachenko was on a roll.

Haney came out punching. Lomachenko fired. Haney fired – Lomachenko pushed Haney into the ropes. Haney shot from a big right. More body work worried Lomachenko. Lomachenko scored with a glance at the bell.
“I don’t want to talk about (the decision),” said Lomachenko. “All the people saw what happened today.”
