For majority Tobias HarrisAfter retiring from the Philadelphia 76ers, I was a staunch advocate of the overpaid striker. It’s not his fault the front office overpaid him to overcompensate for the loss of Jimmy Butler.
Despite being one of the most overpaid players in the NBA, Harris has done a solid job of adapting to the role the Sixers need. Whether it will be a second option as a scorer or a fourth option in the current team, Harris took it calmly. That it is written Now is the time for the 76ers to move on from highly efficient power forward.
The Philadelphia 76ers should trade Tobias Harris now.
There are several reasons why the Sixers need to move away from Harris. Mainly because the veteran is in the last year of his contract. Next season, he’ll make $39.3 million, which is a bit too much for a guy who is the fourth option on a perfectly healthy 76ers roster.
The club was relatively healthy for the playoff round, yet could not seal a deal with the Celtics and lost a 3–2 lead in which Harris was highly ineffective. That plus just 14.7 points per game, the lowest since the 2015-16 season, doesn’t help its commercial value.
Even though his production was lower than what fans consider Harris to be, he was still very effective, shooting 50.1 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from the three-point line. He also reached a new level on defense this year. However, his main value is the value of his contract.
Philly could turn their bid into some very good players for the role if 76ers president Morey needs to turn his attention to his MVP in Joel Embiid, the great man has made it very clear what he needs to move forward.

The easiest way to get Embiid’s help is to trade Harris with his big contract and get multiple players for roles, or try to throw himself on the fence for one star. Either way, the stars appear to be set for the Philadelphia 76ers to replace Harris in the off-season.
