The Basingstoke Pickleball Easter Egg-Stravanganza tournament was held at Totally Tennis on Sunday 2 April to raise money for permanently painted court lines. We managed to raise the necessary funds and paint the lines before the event so that everyone could take advantage of it. All players were welcome and it was a great mix of people who have been playing for eight years and those who have only recently started playing in the last few months.

The event, which was organized by Maisie Wise, was won by James Emery and Phil Nash of Gosport (pictured left, with Lewis Oke and Michael Barry finishing second. The raffle prizes were donated by: Frame sport, Diadem marinated ball and balls by Pickleball England. After the tournament, a dinner was held in the pavilion.
Maisie said:It was great to see so many local players coming together to play pickleball! One of my favorite things about the sport is the community and everyone who attended the tournament fits in with how friendly and enthusiastic they were“.
She added, “A huge thank you to Totally Tennis and Jill Gibson who helped me organize the event so well and made everyone happy that day. Another big thank you goes to Framework Sports and Diadem Pickleball for their support and donating such fantastic raffle prizes, and to Pickleball England for supporting and donating the Franklin X-40!“
Maisie (pictured above at the table) started playing Pickleball six years ago and has been playing competitively for eighteen months. It currently competes in the first division of the Southeast and is sponsored by the Diadem oars and equipment company.
