organize something:
-
Set the ball high if you’re looking for maximum distance, lower if you’re looking for more accuracy.
-
Bend your spine away from the target. Set up to strike!
-
Lower the trail foot back to the target line to help make a bigger turn.
At the top:
-
Rotate as much as your body allows, trying to feel the trail leg straighten and the trail hip rise.
-
Push the handle back as far as possible. It should move both up and in.
-
The longer the backswing, the more energy you can pump into the system and the more time you have to organize yourself on the way down.
On impact:
-
Point the weight down and towards the target early in the downswing.
-
As you approach the strike, push hard with your front foot. This will raise the handle, raise the angle of attack and increase power.
-
Feel your hips open up nicely to the target.
I know these simple spanners will help improve both the distance and accuracy you experience off the tee! Give them a try and if you have any questions, please contact them.
